JoAnn C. Stonier is responsible for worldwide privacy compliance and information governance for the enterprise. Ms. Stonier is responsible for identifying MasterCard’s data strategy as an element of the company’s product and business strategy as well as for the management of privacy and data protection compliance and regulatory engagement on a global basis. Ms. Stonier and her team of global professionals help business colleagues understand the opportunities associated with MasterCard’s information assets as well as understand the risks and relevant legal requirements that need to be addressed related to the collection, use and disclosure of personal data. Prior to joining MasterCard in 2008, Ms. Stonier was the Chief Privacy Officer for American Express Company. She also held various roles of increasing responsibility at American Express, including Chief Operating Officer, American Express Tax & Business Services; Vice President, Acquisition Integration;and Vice President & Assistant to the Chairman. Ms. Stonier has worked at Waldenbooks, Inc., PepsiCo and started her career as an auditor for PriceWaterhouse Coopers. In addition to her work at MasterCard, Ms. Stonier is an Adjunct Professor at Pratt Institute where she teaches business strategy and international business, in the Design Management Master’s program.
Aaron Crews is Senior Associate General Counsel and global head of eDiscovery at Walmart. In this role, Aaron is responsible for Walmart’s eDiscovery process and strategy, as well as the legal portion of the company’s information governance programs. In addition, Aaron collaborates with other groups within Walmart regarding data privacy, information security, technology, and related issues. Prior to joining Walmart, Aaron was an equity shareholder at Littler Mendelson, and one of the firm’s eDiscovery Counsel. At Littler, Aaron litigated issues and counseled clients regarding eDiscovery, information governance and data management, cross-border data flows, data privacy, data security, investigations, electronic evidence, and related areas. Aaron is a frequent speaker on legal technology topics, is widely published in the eDiscovery, computer forensics, and information governance spaces, and currently sits on the boards of several organizations dedicated to thought leadership in spaces related to eDiscovery, information governance, data privacy and data security, forensics, and technology.
Abhishek Agarwal is the Chief Privacy Officer at Baxter International, where he manages global privacy compliance portfolio. His main focus is to advise business on compliance matters and main the culture of compliance.
Previously, Abhishek has gained experience working at fortune 100 companies such as Kraft Foods, JPMorgan Chase, HSBC, and E&Y Consulting where he has worked on large Information Security & Risk initiatives like Identity & Access Management, Information Risk Assessments, Information Ownership & Classification, Information Asset Management and Vendor Governance and Management.
In relation to security compliance, he has managed large technology initiatives such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Cloud Computing, Virtualization (VDI), Next Generation Network (NGN), Brand Protection in Cyber space, Social Media Monitoring and risk assessment.
Abhishek is well verse with the latest prevailing regulations in financial industry and in relations with Privacy. He has developed information security risk programs to comply with federal regulations namely, OCC & OCR requirements, HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA, EU DPA, PIPEDA, FACT Act, FTC regulations (COPPA, DNC), US:EU/Swiss SafeHarbor.
He is experienced in establishing compliance programs based on industry best practices namely, a unique combination of ISO 27001/02, GAPP, PCI, BITS.
He is an active member International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), a member of the Information Systems Audit and Compliance Association (ISACA), a certified Information Risk and System Control (CRISC) and certified with ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification.
He received both an Electrical & Electronic Engineering (B.E. 1997) and a MBA (MBA 1999) from Pittsburg State University, also received Certificate in Strategy and Negotiations from University of Chicago - Booth School of Business.
Tera Ladner is Group Vice President of Corporate Records and Information Management at SunTrust Bank’s corporate headquarters located in Atlanta, Georgia. She is responsible for the end to end program governing and putting into operation lifecycle management of all records and information within the Bank. She is currently sponsoring a project migrating various internal document repository systems and all electronically stored information including email to a hosted cloud solution.
Prior to joining SunTrust, Tera worked in the electric utility industry for 11 years, implementing enterprise-wide Records and Information Management Programs at two separate organizations. Within these roles, she was highly involved in all aspects of program implementation including records inventories, developing policies, procedures and retention schedules, leading a records committee, developing and administering training and handling vendor selection and continued relationships for off-site storage, records & media destruction and technology solutions. In both organizations, she led the team in evaluating, choosing, and implementation of an enterprise-wide Electronic Records Management System.
Tera holds a bachelors degree in Marketing and completed her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State Law School in December of 2010. She is a Certified Records Manager and a certified Information Governance Professional. She served on the Atlanta ARMA Board of Directors for 10 years. Tera currently serves as President Elect for ARMA International and will begin her two year role as President and Board Chair in July of 2016.
