Building a World-Class Information Governance Program
Our Boot Camps are led by IGI founders Barclay T. Blair and Bennett B. Borden, and incorporate an incredible revolving faculty of industry experts on the Boot Camp topic and in its unique facilitation format.
At our Boot Camps, the focus is less on talking and more on doing. Less on problems and more on solutions. Less on presentations and more on practical tools, tips, and techniques. While we teach you new ways to think about your information problems, we focus on teaching you to take action.
Our goal? That the next day you will go back to your office and immediately use something you learned at our Boot Camp.
The format is a series of four sessions that begin with a short training presentation and continue with facilitated group exercises that get you on your feet and working with your table on real-world IG problems. Along the way we teach you a battle-tested methodology for moving from confusion and complexity to achievable, incremental, projects that provide short-term value while intelligently supporting your long-term, comprehensive IG strategy.
Our Boot Camps are based on years of practice helping hundreds of organizations build IG programs; the ongoing insights of our large and growing community, and the hard data that we generate from our research programs.
While we strongly believe in the value of our content and format, we have also found that the highest value may come from what you learn from the people around your table - people just like you who generously share their stories, insights, and techniques.
So, please come prepared to work, share, and learn.

"Finally, a real-world, hands-on experience. The ‘play-acting’ scenarios were exactly what I've experienced and the discussions afterwards provided clear, sound suggestions for handling the situations for a win-win outcome. I highly recommend this event."
—Melissa G. Dederer, MBA
“This session was a 'must'. Real experience, tangible insight, and concrete takeaways.”
—Rebecca Gallei, Enterprise Risk Management
"We received great feedback on the IGI Boot Camp held at our user conference, Relativity Fest, in October, so are planning a mini boot camp on data remediation for LegalTech New York this February. Our customers get a lot out of it, and we love that we can offer a hands-on environment for practitioners to dive into information governance alongside their peers."
—Nick Robertson, Vice President of Product & Marketing at kCura
"IG is no small feat and requires strategic coordination and buy-in from company leadership/sponsors. The interactive exercises at the boot camp allowed for the sharing of experiences and suggestions around a framework for achieving incremental results."
—Bob Krantz, CEO at Mindseye
